In IU II p. 589 Madame Blavatsky points out that plants have mystical properties in a most wonderful degree, and in “Secret Doctrine Commentaries” (p.172 – 174) she tells us more about the intelligence of plants, that they have their own purpose of life and even a ‘free will’. Scientists are able to confirm this truth now.
They discovered that plants respond to all external influences and stimulation, even being able to change their outer appearance, using sound vibrations to protect themselves from predators. Trees in a forest for example are communicating via the net of fungi in the soil by sound vibrations. Foresters speak already about a “wood wide web”.
Petra Meyer worked as a Legal Secretary in Essen/Germany. In 1984 she moved from Germany to England with her family. She joined the TS in 1991 and the Blavatsky Lodge in 1992. In 2016 she became President of the Blavatsky Lodge, a position which she still holds.
